I make these bowls by first knitting a loose bowl shape, then wet-felting the wool to make a more compact bowl, trimming and drying it, and then finally adding embroidery using cotton embroidery floss. This bowl was made with a pale yellow wool and turquoise cotton embroidery floss.

This small felted bowl has many uses. You could fill it with candy, crafting supplies, or other odds and ends. Many people use these bowls as soft and scratch free ring bowls, or even as air plant homes.
